Friday 24 August 2007. Limerick, Ireland and London, England. Narragansett Technologies and Digital Relevance today announced a strategic alliance across the UK and Ireland.

Digital Relevance and Narragansett Technologies have formed a strategic alliance to widen both their businesses range and scope of services in Ireland and the UK. The partnership will help each company’s respective existing and future customers’ to further monetise websites through, email marketing, RSS, ad serving, inventory sales and online research. Web hosting, content management and search engine marketing are also part of the new joint service provision equation.

‘We work with partners such as Epsilon Interactive, Epicor Software Corporation and many other market leaders across the globe’, said Chris Byrne, CEO and founder of Narragansett. ‘The leadership team at Digital Relevance have clearly demonstrated that they have what it takes to add significant value to our customers and our business’.

‘Digital marketing continues to offer customers’ substantial returns on investment and as such we wanted to accelerate our growth’, said Denis Sheehan, CEO and founder of Digital Relevance. “We evaluated a number of options, but in the end the decision to work with Narragansett was an easy one. Customer service is the key business differentiator for me and when coupled with robust feature rich technology is a winning combination. Our partnership with Narragansett enables us to further deliver both seamlessly.

One of many synergies both companies display already is significant customer penetration in the hospitality sector. Narragansett customer, Deirdre Power, General Manager Commercial, Tower Hotel Group commented, “The essence of Narragansett for Tower Hotel Group is that we can track against actual pickup in real bottom line business. This allows us to assess offers and accurately schedule the most effective marketing message for future campaigns. We measure the amount of people who clicked into our Hot Deals and then query our booking engine to understand the exact number of bookings made. Along with reports from Opera we can see how many rooms were booked on a particular offer in a defined period. This is far more useful and exact than trying to assess the result of more traditional campaigns”

Mathew Underhill, Director of Hospitality Update said, ‘Digital Relevance have identified and implemented a strategy that has radically improved our whole web business proposition. Through enriching site content, they have substantially built visitor traffic and advertising revenue. The increased interaction between advertisers and visitors through email marketing initiatives such as competitions is now further driving revenue which will be reinvested to fuel growth. We have now experienced what Narragansett additionally bring to the table and look forward to working with this refreshingly transparent results driven partnership.
