John Lewis has appointed digital marketing agency Steak Media to handle its paid search advertising, following a detailed and competitive pitch process.

John Lewis Direct (JLD) is the online and catalogue branch of John Lewis department stores, part of the John Lewis Partnership. Recently re-launched, the website (www.johnlewis.com), stocks 26,000 lines focused on the best of home, giftware and flowers and is consistently ranked one of the top online shopping destinations in the UK.

With Steak Media on board, the retailer aims to further its growing online presence through a structured PPC campaign that will increase traffic to the John Lewis Direct site, increasing the brands sales revenue and expanding its existing customer base.
