First dedicated online initiative for the charity to drive fund raising

Young people’s charity St Christopher’s Fellowship is set to release a series of exclusive animations online over the Christmas period, driving a call-to-action to donate and support fund raising efforts.

The 180 Degree campaign will incorporate a number of short films, with youth-styled animation being designed to protect young people’s identities as they recount their real-life experiences as a looked after child.

Chloe Strickland, Fundraising and Marketing Officer at St Christopher’s says, “Each animation deals with very specific issues that young people can face, from running away from home, to problems with drugs or getting your life back on track. The animations as a whole touch upon a vast array of topics and issues, and for that reason, it was decided that online presented the best channel for reaching a large number of very specific target audience groups.”

Exclusive access will be provided to relevant high-profile online media sites, prior to each animation’s release. A focused social media relations campaign will also be run, sharing the animations and additional supporting digital content with influential bloggers across a wide range of topic areas.

“By sharing focused content with specifically relevant online communities, the aim is to ensure that the campaign’s messaging resonates all the more strongly,” adds Chloe. “Boosting awareness of the problems young people can face over the Christmas period and inspiring people to donate to help the cause.”

The campaign will also be supported with a dedicated Facebook group, with St Christopher’s employees utilising their own personal networks of contacts to drive membership rates.

All animations for the St Christopher’s Fellowship 180 Degree campaign have been designed by Dirty UK. Donations can be made at
