Maximiles, operator of, the UK’s largest online coalition loyalty programme, has appointed Robert Barker as Chief Operating Officer this month (November) for its UK division. He replaces Geraldine Tosh, who left the company at the end of October to pursue other interests.

Robert joined ipoints in 2000 as Financial Director. Robert played a pivotal role in the website success and growth. In 2006, Robert was promoted to Commercial Director and was heavily involved in the negotiations which led to ipoints’ acquisition by Maximiles.

In his new role, Robert will continue to expand loyalty programme, through increasing the number of loyalty partners as well the number of the programme’s membership (1.6 million members as of 30/06/2007). Robert will also ensure the leadership of Maximiles in the UK as a full scale provider for on-line loyalty solutions and staff motivation programmes as well as direct marketing services.

Thanks to Maximiles expanding European presence, Robert will also spearhead the development of multi-country loyalty partnerships and direct marketing sales to ipoints clients.
