Coremetrics appoints new Vice President of Europe
Growth in online marketing spend prompts move

Coremetrics, the leading provider of digital marketing optimisation solutions, has appointed Richard Sheppard to be the VP and General Manager of EMEA.

In his new role, Sheppard will lead the development of Coremetrics across Europe. He will be responsible for managing the overall business with an initial focus on recruitment and growing in-country teams that will support Coremetrics’ European expansion.

According to a July 2007 report by Forrester Research European Online Marketing Tops €16 Billion In 2012, “The value of European online marketing — including email, search, and display advertising — will more than double from around €7.5 billion in 2006 to more than €16 billion in 2012.”

Richard Sheppard brings 20 years of sales, sales management and general management experience to Coremetrics Europe. Richard has managed both established and start-up organisations primarily with an international focus, establishing US subsidiaries and distributorships across Europe. His in-depth knowledge and experience in the SaaS and analytics market will help Coremetrics achieve greater inroads in Europe in 2008 and beyond.

Before joining Coremetrics he was the CEO of UK hosting company 7global. Prior to this he was the VP EMEA for Actuate where he was responsible for the UK, German and French operations. He has also held senior EMEA positions at Oblix Inc, Hyperion, Arbor Software and Informix Software.
