Award-winning digital marketing agency, Steak Media announced today that it is opening up offices in New York and Melbourne.

The expansion into the US and Australia comes at the end of an exciting year for Steak Media. The agency has just picked up 3 prestigious industry awards – Media Agency of the Year at the Interactive Marketing and Advertising Awards, Best High Growth business at the Daily Mail Make Your Mark Awards and CEO, Oliver Bishop, was named as Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Growing Business Awards. Steak Media has also added British Gas, John Lewis and Time Out to its already impressive client list and has strengthened its management team with the appointment of two senior adland figures, Robert Campbell and Matthew Clark, as non-executive board members.

In September, Steak secured its first round of funding from Beringea Ltd, Manager of the ProVen VCTs. The investment has allowed the company to expand internationally and accelerate its growth strategies.

The New York office will initially be led by Steak’s CEO, Oliver Bishop and will be fully operational by January 2008. The Melbourne office will be headed up by Kevin Durston as Managing Director and Martin Carlill as Head of Paid Search. Previously, Kevin worked as Head of Online at one of the UK’s leading consumer finance portals, Find.co.uk. Martin has been an employee at Steak since 2005 working on a variety of accounts including: JJB Sports, French Connection and Hero Insurance.

The list showcases business talent and was published in a supplement by The Observer on 25th November 2007.
