London, 05/02/2008. Small business insurance specialist, Brighter Business, has appointed ExactTarget as its Email Service Provider (ESP). Brighter Business specialises in providing tailored policies underwritten at Lloyd’s of London for a variety of commercial customers.

Web and email have always been considered key to Brighter Business’ operations. An email marketing programme was core to the vision of developing an ongoing dialogue with customers and providing them with additional services and information. In August 2007, a pitch process was undertaken to appoint an Email Service Provider (ESP). The objectives were to ensure that emails were of a high professional standard, proper tracking and content management tools were in place and that Brighter Business was able to benefit from advice and guidance from an expert source on issues of deliverability and email best practice. The pitch was won by Exact Target.
