London, August 10, 2004 --- Abacus – a division of DoubleClick Inc. (NASDAQ: DCLK) – a leading data and research provider to the direct marketing industry, today announced the appointment of Denise Colella as Director of Technical Operations Europe, a newly created position.

Colella brings more than 10 years of international business experience, gained within the marketing and IT industries, to her new post. At Abacus, Colella is responsible for establishing and setting up the infrastructure to launch the business into new markets; implementing and localising technology for new markets; and optimising the development opportunities to leverage them across different countries.

Colella joins the UK office from Abacus Japan, where as Operations Director she was responsible for developing and launching the country’s first cooperative database system. Prior to joining Abacus Japan, Colella spent 4 years at DoubleClick’s offices in Japan as Product Director Asia where she was involved in developing and localising the company’s products for each specific market. During her time with DoubleClick, she was also responsible for the acquisition of a Korean email software product and helped deliver second year revenues well in excess of target.
