Epsilon International strengthens service offering with appointment of first Client Services Director

Jon Maddison hired from Loyalty Management Group to boost senior team


Epsilon International, the global arm of the world’s largest email marketing services business, has hired Jon Maddison as its first UK client services director.

Maddison joins from Epsilon client, Loyalty Management Group (LMG), where he was Nectar’s relationship director, responsible for high profile clients including EDF Energy, The AA, American Express Credit Cards, Ford and Hertz.

Reporting to the UK country manager, Nick Christie, Maddison will be is the company’s most senior European client handler and will work across a number of Epsilon’s clients. Epsilon clients include Tesco, P&G, Electronic Arts, The Economist, Aer Lingus, OgilvyOne and John Lewis.

Epsilon International has trebled in size in the past 18 months and in turn the UK account management team has also tripled in size in just eight months. This is a result of an increased customer service focus and a raft of new business.

Maddison was hired because email is now an integral part of client marketing strategies and clients are demanding greater levels of service. The email business is changing to become less about the technology and more focused upon the delivery of strategic advice. With this appointment Epsilon are positioning themselves as the industry leader in this competency.

Maddison holds an MBA with distinction from Bath University School of Management. Prior to Loyalty Management he was managing director of Labdirect, a direct marketing agency, owned by the RPS Group. Before Labdirect he was a consultant at Expert Information Services in Australia.
