Cheeze Boosts Web 2.0 Division with new Group Head Donna McGrory

Digital direct marketing agency, Cheeze - a member of Digital Marketing Group plc, the AIM-listed digital direct marketing company, is bolstering its Web 2.0 team with the appointment of Donna McGrory to the newly created position of Group Head.

McGrory is charged with the day-to-day running of the division and will have direct responsibility for the production and delivery of all client projects. Overseeing a four-strong team, McGrory will report in to director of innovation, Jamie Riddell.

Riddell comments, "With income from our web 2.0 services growing dramatically, it was vital that we brought someone on board to manage this area of the business. This will allow me to focus on innovation and driving our expertise in new areas to ensure that our clients' campaigns are kept at the cutting edge of all digital developments. McGrory joins from Swinton Insurance Group where she was head of internet marketing, accountable for driving traffic to the website using a full digital media mix and with a multi-million pound budget.

After graduating from Keele University in 1999 with a BA. Hons in English Literature and French, she began her career at Norwich Union General Insurance, joining in 2000 as a direct marketing executive. A year later McGrory moved to the e-commerce team, working her way up from marketing executive to become
e-commerce marketing manager, with responsibility for a £16m online budget and management of all PPC campaigns for Norwich Union Direct insurance products. Key achievements in this role included the setting up of a new Asda online marketing team and the delivery of new tracking and bid management tools. In 2005 she was made web strategy manager for
