Yahoo!’s acquisition of IndexTools web analytics software will be the subject of a breakfast briefing run by e-commerce services provider Snow Valley on Thursday 3rd July.

The deal, announced on 9th April 2008, has been described as a ‘permanent game changer’ for the analytics market - Yahoo! intends to make IndexTools available for free, thus shaking up the market for Google Analytics, Coremetrics, Omniture, and other providers of web analytics services.

Jill Culbertson, Senior Online Marketing Consultant at Snow Valley, said, “Yahoo! has yet to say when the new IndexTools service will be rolled out. Snow Valley has been using IndexTools for many years and so we’ll be aiming to give e-commerce managers a head start on what they can expect IndexTools to provide and how it could be useful to their business.”

The briefing takes place 8.30-10.30 on Thursday 3rd July in London and is free of charge to e-commerce managers and online marketing managers. Delegates should register at www.snowvalley.com/events
