Harvest has hired Clare Hutchings as an Account Director reporting to Managing Director Emma Wilson. Hutchings will direct a media team integrating creative, display advertising, search and affiliate marketing to provide a full-service for Harvest’s retail clients including Tesco and Signet. She brings ten years of marketing experience gained from roles at other agencies as well as clients and media owners.

Hutchings joins from PHD where she was an Account Director for retail, entertainment and FMCG clients including Sainsbury’s, GAP, McCain and Capital Radio. Her key achievements in the role include securing Sainsbury’s as the first commercial partner worldwide for Yahoo’s social search product, Yahoo! Answers and undertaking a research project for a major retail client to measure online advertising’s effect on offline purchase. Prior to PHD, Hutchings worked at Lycos Europe as Customer Acquisitions Manager where she sourced and managed partners and supervised affiliate and SEM activity. Harvest Digital has also recruited Kevin Joyner, who joins from Millward Brown, as Account Executives.

Emma Wilson, Director at Harvest Digital comments, ‘We have been monitoring the industry to find someone to lead our retail accounts and selected Clare Hutchings because she is very skilled at keeping on top of the detail whilst seeing the bigger picture. She has a very good understanding using brand marketing activity to acquire customers and a lot of valuable media planning and buying expertise. Kevin also bring valuable skills that we will use on clients such as Tesco, Plan and P&V Holidays.’

Clare Hutchings, Account Director at Harvest Digital, adds, ‘I wanted to move to an independent agency where I can focus on digital activity and can offer clients more value by advising on how to get the best out of their creative and media, rather than just media alone. The opportunity at Harvest Digital enables me to oversee all aspects of a campaign in order to gain the best results.’

Before joining Lycos, Hutchings spent three years at PDV as a Campaign and Partner Manager devising and implementing marketing initiatives for customer acquisition and retention and managing partners sites including gambling, dating and mobile phone sites. She worked at Matrix-Data and Equifax before that and began her career in Direct Marketing as an Account Handler for Acxiom in 1997 working on Audi and Viking.

The appointments follow new account wins at Harvest including P&V Holidays and Gumtree. Harvest has also recruited Jenna Crammond as a Campaign Traffic Controller.
