Digital marketing agency itineris has just completed and launched a brand new e-commerce website for myhab – creators of unique, luxury festival accommodation. The website allows this summer’s festival-goers not just to book their myhab accommodation, but to personalise it before they arrive at their chosen venue.

If you still fancy the idea of getting down and dirty at a festival but have accepted that you and tents don’t go together, then myhab could be the answer. It offers comfortable accommodation at many of this year’s major festivals, which is eco-friendly, affordable and hassle free. Most importantly, myhab customers have access to great showers and clean loos.

In creating the new site, itineris has taken on board the festival vibe with understated, yet atmospheric, animations and a visual feel that makes you forget the likelihood of rain and long to book your ticket for one of the key summer events. Depending on when you visit the site, the animations and background change to reflect the time of day. But along with the look and feel having to be just right, it was crucial that the site was easy to navigate and that it explained the benefits of the product clearly.

i.content is itineris’ own content management system. Using a bespoke version of the system, itineris created a powerful eCommerce solution for myhab, so festival-goers can select their venue, book their package online and personalise their myhab.
Itineris also created the myhab family of characters which feature throughout the site. Users can create their own personalised character, choosing the name, hair-style, face, outfit and accessories that best suits them. On arrival at the festival they will be presented with a print-out of their character ready to stick to the side of their myhab. The ‘cool stuff’ section of the site is where all the best characters live, with plans to allow myhab fans to create t-shirts featuring their favourite ones.

The finished product is a very user friendly and engaging site which includes lots of extras such as details of car sharing schemes, movie and video clips and a photo gallery – all aimed at engaging the interest of the user and extending their visit.
