Epsilon announced today that Ian Hitt, UK Managing Director for transactional database specialist Abacus, has taken on the broader role of Managing Director for Epsilon International EMEA. Hitt assumes the role after Ted Wham’s recent return to the US and whilst Hitt will retain full control of Abacus’ operations in the UK, this new position encompasses the digital side of the Epsilon business with offices in London, Paris & Dusseldorf.

Epsilon in North America has recently re-aligned to broaden their end-to-end solutions offering - incorporating marketing technology solutions with data services & creative agency facilities - and this change precedes a move to replicate Epsilon’s offering on the international stage. Epsilon was ranked the number 1 Marketing Services Agency and number 1 Direct Marketing Agency in the U.S. by Ad Age.

Epsilon International works with clients in sectors ranging from Financial Services to Travel and Hospitality to Pharmaceutical and Retailing. In addition, Epsilon's Abacus division operates the UK’s first and largest co-operative database, with a membership that includes more than 700 retailers and multi-channel merchants.

“Naturally, I am delighted to be assuming this new role and enhancing both the Epsilon and Abacus brands. Their respective strengths in direct mail and email marketing will offer our clients access to effective multi channel tools” said Hitt, who will be reporting into Bryan Kennedy, COO & President for Epsilon Marketing Technology Group and Brian Rainey, President of Epsilon Data Services, both on the Global Epsilon Board. “We’re going through a period of consistent growth in both businesses; our opportunity now is to broaden our solutions offering and wherever possible, offer a one-stop-shop to our existing clients and future customers.”
