Santa Clara, California, June 12, 2008– Zeus Technology, a leading provider of application delivery software, today announced it has selected hardware from Sun Microsystems on which it will deliver high performance, compact, energy efficient appliances based on Sun Fire™ X2200 M2 and Sun Fire X4100 M2 servers to Zeus customers worldwide.

Under the agreement, Zeus will sell selected Sun™ appliances fully integrated with ZXTM (Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager), Zeus’ high-performance application delivery solution. The agreement is supported by a Sun OEM Services agreement which enables Zeus’ customers to benefit from hardware support with a choice of response times depending on their specific business needs.

“This new collaboration in our ongoing relationship with Sun gives Zeus’ customers and partners an excellent combination of market leading technologies that deliver strong business value,” said Paul Brennan, Chairman and CEO of Zeus Technology. “Most importantly, it extends Zeus’ global reach so that we can provide integrated appliances to customers worldwide.”

“Networked or Web-based business-critical operations or customer-facing services are particularly vulnerable to issues of application availability, performance, and security. Sun’s award-winning x64 servers combined with Zeus’ world-class traffic management software offer enterprises one of the most energy-efficient platforms for reliable, high performance, and scalable application delivery,” said Darrell Jordan-Smith, vice president for Sun Microsystems' global communications and media practice. “Zeus appliances are fully tested and backed by Sun’s commitment to quality, design leadership and its worldwide program of hardware support.”
