--- Integration Of And Upgrades To Ensemble And SmartPath Tools Bring Enhanced Efficiency, Effectiveness And Accountability To Marketers ---
-- Major Swedish Insurance Company First to Sign Up To Combined Platform --
London, September 24, 2004 -- DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq: DCLK), the leading provider of solutions for marketers, advertising agencies and web publishers, today announced that it has formed an Enterprise Marketing Solutions group, which is marked by integration of and upgrades to the DoubleClick Ensemble campaign management solution and the SmartPath marketing resource management solution.
The DoubleClick Enterprise Marketing Solution provides customers with a single platform to plan and manage their marketing activity across all channels, as well as a powerful segmentation engine to optimise their direct marketing and customer relationship initiatives. Unlike other combined campaign management and marketing resource management offerings, DoubleClick is focused on ensuring its marketing resource management is applicable to the entire marketing discipline and not solely to the direct marketing team. In addition, the superior campaign management capabilities ensure that marketers benefit from the advanced segmentation and campaign execution functionality, as well as the platform’s multi-channel and cross discipline capabilities.
“Combining multi-channel marketing planning and management capabilities with powerful segmentation and execution capabilities makes perfect sense,” said Ian West, Sales Director EMEA - Corporate Marketing Solutions, for DoubleClick. “It brings together two of DoubleClick's strengths and delivers a solution to customers that our competitors can't match.”
Folksam, a leading Swedish Insurance Company, handling more than 18 million insurance contracts and one of Sweden’s largest investment managers (SEK115 billion - US$15.2bn - in assets in 2003), is the first to select DoubleClick’s integrated platform. DoubleClick’s Enterprise Marketing Solution will allow Folksam to determine the best interaction strategy for each customer and to deliver event triggered campaigns across all marketing channels, responding to client needs through the preferred and most cost efficient channel. By using this combined solution, Folksam will automate many processes in order to guarantee a better quality and a faster process.
“One of Folksam’s most important strategic initiatives over the next few years is to become a truly customer-centric marketing organisation, ensuring our customers’ experience with our company is consistent, regardless of the channels in which they interact with us,” said Lars Burman, Executive Vice President of Folksam. “DoubleClick combines best of breed planning, budgeting and workflow tools with robust customer segmentation in a single application that can operate across all of our channels, providing an important building block with which to take our marketing and customer relationship initiatives to the next level.”
Burman added: “We performed a very detailed analysis of suppliers in the marketing automation area, and only DoubleClick could deliver a platform which combined both advanced marketing resource management and campaign management.”
Folksam joins many leading financial services institutions that use DoubleClick’s marketing solutions, including Prudential Insurance Company, Fleet National Bank and InterActiveCorp’s Lending Tree.
In addition to integrating the Ensemble and SmartPath solutions, DoubleClick also announced upgrades to each application.
