Cheeze Media Team Boosted with New Search Group Head and Account Manager

Digital direct marketing agency, Cheeze - a member of Digital Marketing Group plc, the AIM-listed digital direct marketing company, is growing its London office with two new hires in its media team.

Tim Cook joins the team as search group head, accompanied by new account manager Sophie Taylor. The appointments follow a string of new business wins for the agency, including its appointment as digital agency to PDSA and Canterbury of New Zealand.

Previously Cook spent two years as a search media strategist at Microsoft where he supported the launch of adCenter into the UK market. After graduating from the Nottingham Trent University in 2003 with a BA Hons in Business and Financial Services, Cook began his career at Cheeze. After initially joining as a PPC manager, he progressed to senior media account manager implementing and managing international search campaigns.

Cook said, “I’m delighted to be returning to Cheeze. With its single-minded focus on delivering the best results for its clients, the agency has earned itself an enviable reputation as one of the UK’s most respected digital direct agencies and the status of a key digital media player. I’m looking forward to applying the insights I’ve gained into the search market over the last two years to deliver some great client campaigns, whilst further developing my media career with Cheeze.”

Taylor joins from international lead generation network Clash Media UK, where she was the account and business development manager for its affiliate programme. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, Taylor was a senior media buyer/planner at global online network, ad pepper media UK. After initially working in the business development team, she went on to set up the brokerage arm of ad pepper, which saw her broke and plan the UK element of high-profile pan-European campaigns for Nokia, Samsung and Dell. Taylor spent the early part of her career in the music and film industry, latterly as a researcher at MCPS-PRS Music Alliance.

Jamie Riddell, director of innovation at Cheeze commented on the appointments,
These latest hires signal our continued commitment to growing the business. Having Tim back on board is fantastic. He returns with a rare broad perspective on search that will be invaluable. And with Sophie’s first-class account management skills and impressive digital media experience, we’re set to continue delivering cutting-edge campaigns that deliver real ROI for our growing client base.”

In April Cheeze appointed Donna McGrory to the newly created position of Group Head of its Web 2.0 team.
