Online boutique and luxury hotel directory, Mr & Mrs Smith, has appointed specialist search marketing agency Greenlight to handle its paid search activity. The account was previously held by DBD Media. The appointment marks Greenlight’s success in the luxury travel market and follows on from its recent win of the Abercrombie & Kent search marketing account.

Mr & Mrs Smith is a highly-curated collection of hand-picked, stylish boutique hotels, from across the world. The company specialises in providing luxury hotel getaways including city, coastal and countryside retreats in both the UK and abroad.

Greenlight’s Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign for the brand will focus on the 350 plus hotels that form part of the Mr & Mrs Smith collection. The aim is to move away from a generic campaign towards a highly targeted one that concentrates on what the individual hotels have to offer, promoting price, special offers and their unique selling points. The ultimate objective will be to raise brand awareness and visibility as well as increase ROI and market share.

The agency will be using two of its in-house technologies, Quant and Adapt. Quant intuitively optimises bids amongst vast portfolios of keywords whilst Adapt works with client inventories and stock levels to ensure that PPC adverts created for display in search engines are always 100% accurate in terms of product specs, pricing and availability.
