Creative digital marketing agency, Hyperlaunch - a member of Digital Marketing Group plc, has appointed Harriet Owen as Buzz Marketing Manager and Emilie McGregor as PR Executive.

Owen and McGregor join Hyperlaunch’s newly created ‘Digital PR’ division, which sees the agency bring together its growing buzz and online PR and promotions offer under one umbrella. The agency’s former Head of Buzz Marketing, Simon Quance will head up the
11- strong team, with the title of Head of Digital PR and Engagement.

Owen will oversee a team of four and is charged with overseeing Social Media and Buzz campaign delivery and service development.

She brings 15 years international strategic and creative interactive and marketing experience to Hyperlaunch, with a background covering TV production and direction, editorial and brand content management.

Her diverse experience includes content management and production at Endemol - which saw her producing BBC1’s Fame Academy for Sky Interactive, editing interactive content for Channel 4’s Big Brother and editorially overseeing 3’s pilot mobile television service; as well as delivering and editing mobile formats for X-Factor and Coronation Street, amongst others for ITV’s partner, Mobile Interactive Group. As Content and E-Commerce Manager for Robbie Williams at ie:music, she managed content for the multi-channel campaign to promote Williams’ tour and Rudebox album, also producing multi-language WAP sites, viral films and grass roots and guerilla marketing campaigns. Owen was Bartle Bogart Hegarty’s first Senior Digital Producer, producing social networking campaigns for brands such as Lynx and Persil. Prior to joining Hyperlaunch, she spent two years consulting – including Dogwoof, where she advised on digital strategy for the DVD release of the acclaimed documentary, Black Gold, and most recently at pan-Asian start-up, The Bowen Media Group, working on digital interactive and marketing solutions for brands such as The Holiday Inn, Club Med and Estee Lauder. Owen holds a BA Hons. in English Literature, from Cardiff University and a post graduate diploma in journalism from the London School of Journalism.

With a BA Hons in Public Relations and French from Leeds Metropolitan University, McGregor joins from Europe’s leading public relations and communications consultancy, Trimedia where she was a Client Executive working on accounts including Envirowise and the DEFRA funded Climate Change Champions campaign.
