UK owned network launches in Poland, Germany, France and Spain.

Internet marketing company Online Media Group (OMG) has become the first privately owned UK affiliate network to launch in mainland Europe with the opening of a new office in Poland and the launch of a series of significant new campaigns in France, Germany and Spain.

The move, which repositions the company as a European performance marketing group, will mean that OMG will be actively promoting a range of performance marketing products in the four territories, as well as running campaigns for major brands including Eurostar, O2 and Arag.

Richard Syme, Chief Executive of OMG commented, “This is a significant step in transforming OMG into a European performance marketing group. We’ve spent the last 12 months developing the team and the capability to run campaigns for major brands across Europe. We are now in a position to leverage our technology and expertise and offer a range of performance marketing solutions outside the UK market. Becoming a European performance marketing company is a key part of our vision and we will be substantially increasing our presence in Europe over the next six months and extending the products available in each territory.”

OMG Poland is a 50:50 joint venture with Ad.net, a subsidiary of Internet Group, a new media company listed on the Polish Stock Exchange, to create a brand new Polish affiliate marketing network.
The new company will be based in Warsaw and recruit affiliates and advertisers for Polish affiliate marketing campaigns, with key sectors likely to include financial services and retail. The first advertiser is one of Poland’s leading financial services brokers; Expander. Expander is owned by GEC and sells mortgage loans, debt consolidation, savings and insurance products both online and via a branch network.

Richard Syme said; “I am delighted to announce this joint venture. It is still early days for affiliate marketing in Poland so we have a tremendous opportunity to utilise our successful track record in the UK and be a dominant player in this market. There are a smaller number of affiliates than in the UK and the CPA model is still evolving, but entry into the European Union and other socio economic changes make it a very attractive market at the moment.

“As in the UK, finance and banking will be key sectors in the Polish affiliate market and as the leading UK player in those sectors we are well placed. But we are also talking to retailers in Poland who are interested in the same brand protection service we provide for companies in regulated financial markets.”

Konrad Sumorek, from Ad.net said, “The online market place in Poland is developing quickly. In the UK, OMG has built its reputation by really focussing on advertiser and affiliate service and brand protection. This new venture builds on that proven approach. OMG’s software is of a very high standard and with their performance marketing expertise we are confident that OMG Poland will get off to a flying start.”
