Leading brand and response company theagency has appointed Rajnish Razdan as creative director. Raz was previously working for Target Direct and Inbox where he was Executive Creative Director and also for The Response Team where he was Creative Director overseeing accounts for Carphone Warehouse, Rentokil and Bristol and West. He has most recently been responsible for developing the marketing and branding of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award and for Nokia’s Comes With MUsicservice which has just launched. Raz is the recipient of numerous awards including the IDM Leaders Award and has been nominated for a Cream Award 2008 for his TV work with Wessex Water.

Amy Stobie, co-founder of theagency, comments: “When we started the agency earlier this year we set ourselves the task of supplying big ideas to companies that want to build brands and drive sales from the same budget. That means that we need staff like Raz who actually have big ideas and are capable of commercial creativity across the board. Raz knows how to bring together both brand and response and fits our full service offering perfectly, having worked in digital, branding, direct mail, press, television and email. I have no doubt that he will be a driving force on the team and will help us deliver commercially creative ideas that build brands, whilst focusing strongly on driving sales.”

Note to editors:

theagency, launched just six months ago, is a new integrated offering to the marketplace bringing together both brand and response. The founders, Amy Stobie and Saman Mansourpour, spotted a gap in the market, to supply big ideas to companies that wanted to build brands and drive sales from the same budget. It was a simple and yet unique proposition, not yet found in smaller marketing service companies. theagency team has a great pedigree having worked across 20 industry sectors for names such as AA, Lloyds TSB, Visa, Kodak, Pepsi, Thomas Cook and BMW. All of the team share a pedigree of working for leading agencies such as Rapier and TBWA. Although the biggest part of theagency’s client offer at the moment is digital and branding it also offers a range of marketing services, including direct mail, press, television and email.
