Internet marketing company Online Media Group (OMG) has appointed Elke Guelpen as European Development Manager, a newly created role to support OMG’s expansion into Europe.

Last month, OMG became the first privately owned UK affiliate network to launch in mainland Europe with the opening of a new office in Poland and the launch of a series of significant new campaigns in France, Germany and Spain.

Elke Guelpen, born in Germany, has a Masters degree in Spanish and French Translation and Interpreting. In her new role, Elke will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales opportunities for OMG in European markets. She will also have responsibility for leading the growing team of European Merchant Account Managers, to ensure the continued optimisation of existing customers’ campaigns. She joins OMG from leading plastic packaging supplier, M&H Plastics where she was Area Sales Manager with responsibility for developing sales in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France.

Richard Syme, Chief Executive of OMG commented, “Over the last year we have been developing our capability to run campaigns for major brands across Europe and Elke’s appointment is a key element in this. The experience she has gained in her studies, internships abroad and work experience has given her a sound knowledge and insight into European business and cultures and I am delighted to welcome her to the team.”
