A new way to pay for Jet2.com customers

Jet2.com has joined forces with PayPal, a global leader in online payments, to offer its customers the ability to pay for flights using their PayPal account.

The new partnership will give Jet2.com’s customers even more choice when it comes to paying for their flights. The deal means that in addition to debit and credit card transactions, customers can also now benefit from making payments via PayPal’s safe, simple and smart way to pay online.

PayPal offers a convenient way to pay online as well as protecting customers’ transactions and personal information. Once customers open an account, their financial details are securely stored, meaning that customers paying for Jet2.com flights through PayPal do not need to re-enter their financial details and enjoy a much faster booking.

Steve Lee, Commercial Director at Jet2.com said, “We are delighted to have teamed up with PayPal to offer our customers an extra, secure way to pay for their flights. At Jet2.com we are committed to providing our customers with the very best service and choice when booking flights with us and the introduction of the new PayPal service means that they now have even more ways to pay.

“The launch of the PayPal partnership is a further example of how we seek to innovate and provide our customers with even more. In November, we announced the launch of myJet2 – a brand new customer loyalty programme. This week, we also announced the launch of a brand new gift voucher facility.
“We are confident that PayPal will prove to be a very successful facility on our website and look forward to a long relationship with them.”

Also commenting on the partnership, Cameron McLean, General Manager of Merchant Services at PayPal UK, said, "We are delighted that Jet2.com is the latest big brand to offer its customers the chance to pay with PayPal, joining names like Boots, BHS, Topshop, Goldsmiths, BBC Shop, Stagecoach and eBay.”

PayPal is the UK’s preferred online payment brand* and has a customer base of over 20 million online shoppers, which represents two in every three British internet shoppers.** PayPal is a payment option on over 120,000 retailers’ sites across Europe.

Jet2.com is the north’s leading leisure airline serving 45 destinations across six regional bases – Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool, Belfast and Edinburgh. The airline is bucking the current downturn in the travel sector and has reported record load factors of more than 90 per cent and launched 22 brand new routes for Summer 2009 across its bases.

Recently Jet2.com has been voted the UK’s best short-haul airline by readers of the Guardian and Observer and UK’s best low cost airline by Daily and Sunday Telegraph readers.
