<p>First TransPennine Express (<a href="http://www.tpexpress.co.uk">www.tpexpress.co.uk</a&gt;) has launched a new website developed by Code Computerlove (<a href="http://www.codecomputerlove.com">www.codecomputerlove.com</a&gt;) whose previous work for the train company resulted in sales growth of over £1m. The new site is being launched in two phases with the next stage due to go live in January 2009.</p>

<p>The Manchester based digital agency was originally appointed in April 2007 to review their digital strategy and develop an online marketing campaign. Following the redesign and digital marketing activity that included email marketing, PPC and display ads, First TransPennine Express saw a 103% increase in online ticket sales. As a result of the success of this work, Code was asked to develop a new site with a number of key objectives including a more engaging design and more prominence given to key customer and sales information.

<p>First TransPennine Express which launched in February 2004, links the major cities of the North and runs direct services between Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The company has successfully transformed its business with major investment in new trains and refurbished stations. Passenger numbers have increased from 13.5 million to over 22 million a year since 2004 with business, leisure travellers and commuters favouring the train in preference to an increasingly congested road network.</p>
