London, 27 July 2004 – Two of Ford Motor Company's premium brands, Jaguar and Land Rover announced today that they will be launching all new Dealer Web Services (DWS) and National Used Car Locator Programs, which will enable their European dealers to manage their on-line presence more effectively using a suite of highly functional tools. The aim of each Program is to provide a seamless customer experience between the brands’ national websites and their retailers.
Jaguar and Land Rover have both selected the automotive managed services provider, Global Beach Automotive, to deliver a truly integrated e-channel across their dealer networks for an initial three-year term. Initial deployment will commence with Belgium, Germany and Netherlands with other key markets to follow.
Global Beach has an eight-year automotive pedigree and has been providing on-line solutions within the dealer/OEM market on a pan-European basis since 1996. Jaguar and Land Rover chose Global Beach as their preferred partner because of its continued investment into smart technology to support the changing needs of the automotive sector. Moreover, this initiative leverages a shared technology platform that can be rapidly and cost-effectively deployed across all markets and has already demonstrated measurable value for brands including Ford of Europe and Aston Martin.
