10 February, 2009, London, UK - The Search Works, the digital performance marketing company and the UK's largest search specialist, announces today it has been appointed by Confused.com, the online insurance, money and utilities comparison site, to handle all of its pay-per-click (PPC) requirements. After beating five other agencies in a competitive pitch, The Search Works landed the account because of its proven experience in the price comparison sector.

The primary role of The Search Works will be to drive traffic to the site. Naturally, as Confused.com’s product range has grown over the last few years, so too has the breadth of its PPC requirements. By making the most of the search specialist’s expertise in paid search campaigns, the company’s customers will be within one or two clicks from the insurance market’s most competitive prices.

Tom Bennett, marketing director at Confused.com stated: “When it came to choosing an agency, not only did we require a specialist to handle our search strategy, we were also looking for an extension of our in-house marketing team that would push our campaigns to the next level. We are confident The Search Works will be able to do just that and we look forward to working with them.”

Stephanie Carr, The Search Works’ Managing Director says: "We are delighted to be working with a brand as significant and relevant as Confused.com. During the current economic climate, consumers will be looking to price comparison sites to identify the best deals. With our experience in developing large and successful SEM strategies, we are looking forward to raising Confused.com’s online presence and ultimately helping the company become the number one comparison website.”
