BT Fresca, www.btfresca.com</a> the e-commerce division of BT Expedite, has designed and implemented the relaunch of the transactional website for women’s fashion retailer Kew. Kew-online.com is powered by FrescaCommerce®, the feature-rich platform that offers complete web-store flexibility and multi-channel support. It allows customers to browse quickly and intuitively through Kew’s exclusive range and view garments in incredible detail.

BT Fresca worked closely with Kew to create a fast and reliable online experience that faithfully communicates the Kew brand, enhances the exceptional customer service and greatly improves the display of Kew’s uniquely designed quality clothing and accessories. Kew is now able to consistently reach even more customers across their different channels.

Angus Jenkins, Head of Home-shopping for Kew Online, said: “Since the launch of the new site we’ve seen the rate of conversion increase by 30%. Clear navigation, detailed product images, intuitive filtering and cross-sells have led our customers to return more frequently, placing larger orders.”

Having recently updated their back office merchandising system to Microsoft Dynamics, Kew had the opportunity to upgrade their website to integrate with this new technology and at the same time step up to the next generation of e-commerce. Working to very tight timescales, completion had to be achieved by the end of September 2008.

“BT Fresca is a business that could guarantee to get the design and implementation completed within the required timeframe against a very challenging brief. BT Fresca’s team has a wealth of experience and expertise in delivering effective e-commerce solutions and we had every confidence in the benefits to be gained from the functionality of the FrescaCommerce Platform,” added Jenkins.

The design team continue to work on further enhancements and innovative new functionality which will gradually be rolled out to the live site over the course of the new season.

In addition, Kew particularly liked the BT Fresca model of charges being based on a fixed monthly fee. The Software as a Service (SaaS) approach is the cost effective way of delivering e-commerce today.

Sarah Hughes, Managing Director of BT Fresca added, “We were delighted to be chosen by Kew for the design and implementation of their new website. Our design team worked closely with Kew to understand their brand requirements. They’ve created a fast and reliable online service improving the display of items and enhancing customer service,”
