Independent club culture and dance music magazine, Resident Advisor, has appointed online advertising sales house w00t!media to bring brand advertising to the site.

Established in 2000, Resident Advisor is now the worlds leading online magazine dedicated to electronic music and clubbing culture. The site has over 500,000 unique monthly users accessing region specific news, club events, music features, dj charts and an exclusive podcasts series.

“After a lengthy pitch process it was clear that w00t!media was different in its approach to dealing with agencies and key publishers,” said Resident Advisor Founder Nick Sabine. “As we have a history of engaging leading brands with the Resident Advisor audience we were after an extension of our in-house sales team to develop new opportunities. w00t!media immediately displayed a good understanding of our audience and the importance we place on quality journalism as an online magazine.”

Resident Advisor is an editorially led publication, with contributors hailing from London, New York, Paris, Sydney and Tokyo. It hosts the world’s largest source of club listings.

“Resident Advisor is an established and highly regarded website with a huge range of emerging advertising opportunities,” said w00t!media Director Austen Kay. “We’re encouraging bespoke advertising including the use of creative website sponsorship; brands can become an attractive part of the website as opposed to using traditional banner adverts. w00t!media is intending to bring both music-based and other related brands on board.”

Resident Advisor’s music listings contain over 85,000 events, 16,000 venues and over 7,000 individual managed artist profiles. The site can be found at www.residentadvisor.net.
