Dobbies Garden Centres has chosen Snow Valley to deliver its next generation web platform. The new e-commerce solution is part of an overall business growth plan for Dobbies, which was acquired by Tesco in 2008. The retailer currently offers garden and home products through 24 UK stores and www.dobbies.com

Snow Valley will be providing a new online store, based on their MUSE2 platform, with an extensive feature-set that will engage Dobbies customers and convert browsers to buyers. The solution will support the expansion of Dobbies’ social media strategy, initially through blogging, forums, and the use of social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.

The site will be fully integrated with Dobbies’ line-of-business systems, which include Microsoft Dynamics NAV and BT Expedite’s Mercatus. The solution will also allow Dobbies’ staff to deliver the highest levels of customer care and will give marketers and merchandisers direct control of their products, promotions and reporting.

The design of the new website will be provided by Snow Valley’s user experience team. The team will be working closely with Dobbies to communicate the brand and deliver an exciting and satisfying online customer experience.
