Digital agency, Design UK, has created the first ever online shop for the prestige men’s brand, Hackett, the home of "Essential British Kit" including clothing, accessories and grooming. Design UK is responsible for the site design as well as content management and ecommerce system development.

The online shop is a natural extension of the brand into the online environment and fits easily with Hackett’s established web presence. The shop features a selection of the brand's in-store range including sportswear, casual shirts, business shirts, ties and accessories. Visuals of Jonny Wilkinson, who is sponsored by Hackett, are used on the site.

The online store continues the development of Hackett's e-presence and is driven by Design UK’s proprietary marketing suite – Lava. Tailored to meet client needs, Lava offers content management while integrating ecommerce, email marketing, user tracking and search engine optimisation. Lava is the technology of choice for over 100 websites worldwide.

"We are delighted to be extending our online presence with the launch of an ecommerce site,” says Mark Owens, Marketing Director at Hackett. “Design UK has helped us to understand our customer’s online behaviour and create a solution that makes the ordering process quick and easy. The fact that our customers now have the choice of shopping online and at the busiest time of year in the pre-Christmas period, has been much appreciated.”

According to Design UK's Client Services Director, Scott Wilkinson, "Adding ecommerce functionality to the Hackett site via Lava was a logical progression both in terms of speed to market and reduced integration costs. The ease of the purchasing process not only reflects the customer focus of our software, but also our understanding of the Hackett customer, built up via research and our ongoing relationship with the Hackett team.”

Design UK created Hackett’s original web site. Hackett is part of the Richemont group of companies.
