GP Bullhound, Europe’s leading investment bank in technology and digital media, has today announced the results of the 2009 Media Momentum Top 50 league table of the fastest growing digital media companies in Europe. Digital agency Essence (http://www.essence.co.uk) entered the rankings for the first time in position 9 and was the top ranked digital agency.

The Top 50 was announced at an exclusive gathering of leading digital industry figures at Sketch in London on 13th May. At the event, GP Bullhound also announced the winners of the 2009 Media Momentum Awards. Short-listed companies were invited to present to a judging panel of industry luminaries including Martha Lane-Fox, co-founder of Lastminute.com and CEO of Lucky Voice; Anil Hansjee, Head of M&A Google Europe; and Seb Bishop, International CEO of RED.
