An independent league table just published of the country’s biggest digital marketing agencies has shown that Leeds-based Epiphany Solutions is the UK’s fastest-growing search marketing agency, with its total staff increasing year-on-year by 178%.

The report by trade magazine New Media Age (NMA) ranks Epiphany, which was founded in 2005, as number 13 of the biggest search marketing agencies in the UK.

Only three agencies in the annual NMA league table of top 30 companies posted year-on-year growth in excess of 100%, with the Leeds company topping the list – in January 2008 it had nine staff, but impressive growth in the 12-month period saw this leap to 25 by January this year.

Significantly, in March this year Epiphany announced the appointment of Managing Director Rob Shaw, the former Chief Technology Officer from rival agency Latitude. He will be responsible for ensuring the company continues to deliver operational excellence during this period of rapid growth.

Shane Quigley, Chief Executive Officer of Epiphany, said: “We’ve had a very busy and successful 18 months. The search and digital sectors in general are experiencing growth and we have managed to take a comparatively bigger slice than our competitors.

“Not only have we won a host of new clients, we are seeing existing clients investing more of their marketing budgets in online activity. This, together with our results-orientated approach, has fuelled our growth.

“We’re still expanding and taking on new staff but our aim is to build a world class operation here – the appointment of Rob Shaw is one indicator of our intentions and there are more exciting business developments on the horizon.”
