AWA has started its fifth anniversary year with the addition of kitchenware retailer, Lakeland and home shopping giant, Redcats UK, to its already enviable list of clients.

The agency has grown at an impressive rate with a current headcount of 22 and a growing reputation for combining online marketing, web design and development and technical skills to deliver insightful, user-focused and measurable digital solutions that produce great results.

Recently appointed to work on Redcats UK’s La Redoute and Vertbaudet brands, following a competitive pitch, AWA will develop a variety of campaigns across channels including display advertising, SEO and Online PR.

Commenting on the appointment of AWA, Philippe Morin, Head of E-Commerce at Redcats UK said, “The AWA team has demonstrated an ability to create compelling creative campaigns backed up by a strong media strategy.

“They understand what sets La Redoute and Vertbaudet apart from our competition and this difference has been captured in their pitch creative and their first campaign for us. We’re delighted to be working with them.”

The fifth birthday also heralds a change in structure for the AWA team.

To equip AWA for future growth, current Managing Director, Alasdair Wightman, will become AWA’s Chairman with Board Director, Christina Marks, assuming the role of Managing Director.

Alasdair comments, “This is the first of a number of structural and service developments planned over the next three years, which will enable our continued growth.

“Christina will have overall responsibility for delivering excellent client service and developing our clients’ businesses digitally.

“It’s important we continue to not only develop fantastic digital work for our clients but also maintain our highest quality of service. Indeed, the strength of our client relationships has been something that’s helped us get where we are now, and Christina’s focus will be on working closely with our entire client base to maximise the digital opportunities for their businesses.”

“My role will be focused more on raising the profile of AWA as a leading digital agency, and ensuring that we continue to expand our client base, working with great brands that recognise the importance and value of digital.”
