The UK’s leading independent search marketing agency Greenlight has scooped the Best Use of Search Engine Marketing Award for its work with Radisson Edwardian at the IDM Business Performance Awards 2009.

The agency’s paid search campaign for Radisson Edwardian, entitled ‘5 star paid search for luxury hotel chain’ targeted online consumers looking to stay in a well located UK luxury hotel. Greenlight created a highly targeted paid search campaign, highlighting the unique selling points of each individual hotel. The results showed a marked increase in ROI from the paid search medium, with £44 generated for every £1 invested.

The announcement was made at an awards ceremony and gala dinner held last night at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington. Greenlight was presented with the prestigious award by Sally Gunnell OBE, former Olympic champion and ambassador of the IDM’s chosen charity for the evening, Sparks.

Greenlight has been a winner at the IDM awards for the last 3 years, with previous successes for its Alliance and Leicester and Monarch Airlines natural search campaigns. This makes Greenlight the first specialist search agency to win an IDM award for both paid and natural search campaigns.
