Essence, the fastest growing UK digital agency (www.essence.co.uk), has been appointed by stationer specialists Ryman – whose Chairman is Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis – for the strategic redesign of their website.

The appointment is part of a larger initiative to overhaul Ryman’s entire multi channel infrastructure to become more e-centric and signals a greater focus on multi channel sales for the retailer. Ryman showed its intentions in this area a year ago with the appointment of its first Director of E-Commerce and Accounts, Andy Harding.

Matt Isaacs, Managing Partner at Essence commented: “We believe there is a huge opportunity for Ryman online and are really excited to be involved.”

Andy Harding at Ryman commented: “We selected Essence because of their ability to combine strategy with great execution. They have proven capabilities in user centric design coupled with the real commercial nous to drive results in a multi channel environment.”

“There is a huge opportunity to replicate the success of the Ryman brand in store with that of online sales through growing our reach, without cannibalizing our customer base. We are making an investment in our e-commerce infrastructure now, so that we have a strong platform for growth in the future.”
