Umbraco, the open source .NET content management system, was chosen by The Cogworks ( as the dynamic new platform for the Barclay Crop Protection website.

With features such as version control, Microsoft Word 2007 integration, a stunningly simple editing interface and mutli-lingual capabilities, Umbraco was the perfect choice for the new website.

“We’ve used a number of different CMS’s over the years but we’ve found Umbraco particularly easy to design for” said Adam Shallcross, Director at Barclay’s web agency The CogWorks.

“To find a CMS that provides so many out-of-the-box features, with the flexibility to adapt to any design and to integrate with any system is rare. Particularly an open-source .NET CMS with no licence fee”, he added.

Harnessing the power of Umbraco with The Cogworks proven design and implementation skills the new 15 language site will help Barclay build their web presence over the long term.

“The website is now much easier to maintain. The uploading of our product PDF’s and general content is really easy with Umbraco and the editing interface is clear and well thought out.” said Margaret Murphy, Market Support Executive, Barclay Crop Protection.
