Cerrus International announces a range of fully managed services for its Saturn System

Camberley, UK, 28th April 2009 – Cerrus International has announced that it is now able to offer a range of fully managed services for users of its Saturn system through a newly formed partnership with 2e2.

The partnership is aimed at helping customers address three key challenges: effective management of the Saturn system, assurance of quality service, and reducing IT burdens. By delivering the Saturn system as an externally administered service, Saturn customers can benefit from reduced IT investment and minimal systems downtime. Providing predictable monthly costs and 24/7 support, the Managed Services solutions will enable organisations to focus on more strategic business issues, including increasing bed occupancy and strengthening business competitiveness.

As one of Europe’s fastest growing IT service providers, 2e2 can help by making technology easy, cost effective and scalable, so Cerrus customers can focus on obtaining the significant benefits from the Saturn system across their operations. By hosting and managing in highly secure, resilient and ISO270001 accredited data centres, the Cerrus Managed Services solutions can be delivered to single or multiple locations, with 24/7 support, improved disaster recovery and support to ensure that customers are kept up-to-date with the most current releases of the various Saturn modules.

Cerrus has worked closely with 2e2 to develop a variety of service options that reflect the demands of organisations across the community health and social care markets. Services offered will include predictive fault monitoring, anti-virus monitoring, scheduled database back-ups, incident prioritisation and monthly service reporting. Intelligent database monitoring will allow for standby disaster recovery and prediction of potential performance issues or faults, minimising the risk of downtime and data loss. By helping to identify and resolve potential performance issues, the Cerrus Managed Services can deliver real business benefits to customers including better systems performance and significant time and cost savings.

“Saturn is a business critical system for over 35,000 users across the UK and International markets,” commented Ciaran Cosgrave, Managed Services Director at 2e2 UK. “IT departments are being tasked with achieving “more for less” as business demands grow and organisations are working to tight or reduced budgets. The Cerrus Managed Services solutions will use state-of-the-art IT tools to deliver the best possible system performance at the lowest possible cost.”

Stewart Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer of Cerrus International commented: “The present economic climate has dictated increasing pressures on providers of community health and social care, particularly with regard to budgetary concerns. Increasingly there are expectations of improved services and swifter service delivery.” He added: “Working with 2e2, the Cerrus Managed Services platforms will reduce pressure on internal IT resources and allow organisations to meet increasing expectations and strategic business aspirations.”
