J60 Limited was launched recently and formed by John Phipps who was, until February 2004, Head of Web Development for John Lewis Direct following the acquisition of buy.com Ltd by the John Lewis Partnership.

The company also includes some of John's colleagues from his previous roles and offers clients not only an extremely strong online skill set but also offers the to work with J60 on internal process and systems development and general business consultancy.

J60 combines specialist expertise in the key eBusiness building blocks of Content Management, eCommerce and Website Design, Accessibility Testing, DDA Compliance and Usability Testing in a way that accelerates time-to-market and ensures that all client brand values, principles and customer experience goals are met with a minimum of fuss.

Its clients already include the John Lewis Partnership where J60 has been involved in the recent re-design and re-build of the Partnerships shopping website www.johnlewis.com where J60 played a key role in functionality design and website specifications. In addition J60 worked with the Partnership on its new corporate website that was launched in 2004, www.johnlewispartnership.co.uk.

Other clients include Centris Limited, www.centris.co.uk, where J60 has developed a complete set of back office web based management tools to assist in the UK regulated PAT testing scheme for electrical power tools.

More recently J60 has commenced work on three new clients and is currently in the process of developing new websites for them.

John was appointed Vice President Commercial of buy.com Ltd in October 1999. He joined buy.com from CPM, part of the Omnicom Group, where he was the Business Development Director of a new joint venture they had recently formed with an American based operation called MarketStar. John's previous roles included working for Staples UK and Comet in their buying functions and whilst at Comet he was involved in a new SME retail venture with BT that Comet launched in Reading.
