London August 13, 2009… Independent full-service digital agency, Blue Barracuda, is launching an online campaign to generate awareness of Getty Images’ new Web & Mobile image products. The agency has designed and produced the creative featured in a global email marketing campaign and regional websites for Getty Images, the world’s leading creator and distributor of visual content and other digital media.

The two new image products feature very small file sizes – 170 pixels and 280 pixels – and are available across the majority of Getty Images Creative stills collections. The products are priced according to pixel size and license model, ranging from £5 for royalty free images and £15 for rights managed images, to the current £49 (413 pixels/500kb) web-resolution product. Now, customers can now license high volumes of compelling, high quality and simple to use imagery at appropriate prices for the digital element of their campaigns and communications.

The creative for the campaign uses Getty Images’ award-winning creative imagery to display the three actual file sizes. Blue Barracuda has also created website banners which scroll through a series of layered images in the different sizes. The campaign aims to engage new and existing customers with targeted email marketing delivered in nine different languages including Japanese, Spanish and UK and US English.

Commenting on the campaign, Richard Soar, global campaign manager at Getty Images explains, “We want to empower and inspire users to harness the power of our imagery for their online and digital communications. The new Web & Mobile product offers customers simple and immediate access to Getty Images’ full range of creative imagery, with a minimum of resizing required for their web and mobile projects. Blue Barracuda has produced a campaign that effectively demonstrates the three image sizes and that there is no need to compromise on quality, even at the smallest image sizes.”

Martin Talks, CEO of Blue Barracuda adds, “We’ve designed a campaign to introduce the Web & Mobile products to both new and existing Getty Images customers. The onsite activity will raise awareness whilst the email campaign will re-engage customers. We will measure and analyse the response in terms of open rates, click through rates and purchase patterns to gauge the effectiveness of different messaging.”

Talks continues, “Blue Barracuda is honoured to have developed this campaign with Getty Images to promote its new Web & Mobile products. Getty Images continues to lead the industry forward with new, innovative products and services that meet and anticipate customers’ needs.”
