LONDON – 15th October 2004 – AGENCY.COM, the parent company of itraffic, has announced the re-integration of itraffic with AGENCY.COM. This move creates London’s largest full service interactive agency.
This decision follows a similar announcement in June by AGENCY.COM, North America. The decision is a direct response to evolving client needs and reflects the rapid growth of interactive marketing budgets. Additionally, it keeps AGENCY.COM at the forefront of the quickly consolidating interactive marketing industry.
Increasingly, clients are seeking not only effective interactive marketing campaigns that attract and acquire customers, but their seamless integration with world-class web sites, which sell to and service them well, and then keep them coming back for more.
As divisions of the same company, AGENCY.COM and itraffic have been connecting these points of the online customer experience for five years. Now AGENCY.COM will unify the two halves of this offer under a single brand, further strengthening its position in the marketplace. AGENCY.COM will bring its services to market with two specialist practices: an Interactive Marketing Group and a Web Development Group. The company will continue to develop the business in both practices, as well as making more of the shared opportunities that exist across client accounts.
AGENCY.COM London becomes a full service interactive agency of 120 people, which can create and manage the full spectrum of digital encounters that customers have with 21st Century brands: from interactive advertising on the web, mobile, interactive TV, ATMs and plasma screens – integrated strategically and creatively with through-the-line campaigns – to e-commerce and e-service web site design and development, all supported by interactive contact strategies and loyalty programs (e-mail, sms, personalisation).
David Eastman, Managing Director of AGENCY.COM will have overall responsibility for the combined London office. A Director of Web Development and Director of Interactive Marketing, yet to be appointed, will report directly in to David. The positions are currently being recruited for internally and externally. In the interim, Andy Hobsbawm will continue acting as Director of Interactive Marketing, whilst overseeing the assimilation of the itraffic team.
The move will not affect current staff levels and AGENCY.COM is currently recruiting for several roles across both divisions.
