Auto Trader today announces that it has been working exclusively with The Search Works to execute a search engine optimisation strategy for its newly relaunched website, Autotrader.co.uk, the UK’s largest motoring website.

Using a combination of traditional SEO techniques, content creation and social media, the agency will deliver an SEO strategy in line with Auto Trader’s recent offline activity. One of the tactics employed is ‘Auto Trader top trumps’ – a flash-based game where each player is dealt cards with car details on; players then compete with friends by choosing different categories such as ‘top speed’ or ‘0-60 time’ in order to beat their opponent’s score. Games can be played in real-time with winners posted in profile messages with the most valuable card shown for each game. Each card then contains links to purchase new or used versions of the car on the Auto Trader website.
