Amsterdam, 27 October 2009 - Nedstat announces the release of native HTML5 video support for Stream Sense™, the most accurate and comprehensive online video analytics application in the market.

HTML5 is the next major revision of HTML and supports video without additional plug-ins. Stream Sense™ is already compliant with all browsers that currently support HTML5 video. Sitestat customers that are field testing with HTML5 video can use Stream Sense™ and get full insight into how their video content in HTML5 performs and direct feedback on how their visitors use it.

Stream Sense™ has been developed by Nedstat in close cooperation with leading publishers of online streaming content. Powerful, real-time analytics report on visitor behaviour during video or audio streams whether on demand, progressive download or live and regardless of where the streams are hosted. Detailed insight is provided about how visitors interact with online video advertisements.

Stream Sense™ supports Windows Media Player, Silverlight, RealPlayer, Flash players, HTML5, several custom players like the JW player and, via an open standards API, any other player. Stream Sense™ modules for off-site solutions such as widgets and gadgets make it possible to measure streams that are embedded and hosted on third party sites. This allows both off-site and on-site content consumption data to be combined in one overview. The measurements are browser based and no installation of plug-ins or dedicated players is needed.

Stream Sense™ seamlessly integrates with Sitestat web analytics, allowing for reporting before and after the stream interaction.

Earlier this month Nedstat won the Streaming Media European Readers’ Choice Award 2009 for Stream Sense™ in the category ‘Reporting and Analytics’.
