From November 15th through 20th, Box UK (http://www.boxuk.com) will participate in the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and Chinwag sponsored Digital Mission to New York. This is the second mission of its kind to NYC, which supports UK-based digital companies “to expand internationally, understand foreign markets, attract investment, find partners and develop business relationships.”

Twenty companies were selected to participate in this program based on a competitive application process. In addition to Box UK, other participants include Subhub, KMP Digitata and Lamp Digital.

The Digital Mission agenda is packed with activities including a Masterclass on Doing Business in the US market, a number of networking opportunities and an evening reception at the British Consulate in New York. It also coincides with the Web 2.0 Expo, which is co-produced by O’Reilly Media and TechWeb. In addition to showcasing “the latest Web 2.0 business models, development paradigms and design strategies for the builders of the next-generation Web … this conference brings together people, ideas, connections, contacts, products, and companies to foster stronger Web 2.0 communities.”

“Box UK already has a number of relationships in the US from our ongoing relationship with graduates from MIT and Harvard Business School as a result of our participation in Elabs, to the current iPhone application we are creating for Gary Vaynerchuk’s Cork’d,” said Benno Wasserstein, Managing Director of Box UK. “This is another opportunity to continue to grow our relationships in the US market and to network with other companies who are looking at similar expansion possibilities.”
