Salmon, specialists in delivering eCommerce solutions today announced they have implemented a new eCommerce platform for Pets at Home, who have 246 pet stores across the UK. The new website will help them embrace Multi-Channel as they look to grow their online business in the next three years, making http://www.petsathome.com/ an essential channel for their business.
Pets at Home new eCommerce website leverages SAFE™ (Salmon’s Application Framework for eCommerce) giving Pets at Home the scalable infrastructure they need to become a true multi-channel business and allowing them to become as successful online as they are offline.

The new site makes it easy for customers to find what they are looking for, offers reviews for informed purchasing and recommends products, helping Pets at Home cross sell and up sell. Using Coremetrics implemented by Salmon, Pets at Home can measure and improve the effectiveness of their online marketing programs. Overall, they are now offering an enhanced experience for their customers.
Pets at Home now have a sophisticated mature and stable eCommerce platform that will cater for their multi-channel needs going forward. Salmon were able to deliver the solution quickly and with minimised risk to Pets at Home using SAFE™, their eCommerce framework which extends IBM’s WebSphere Commerce product. The new solution replaces Pets at Home MUSE2 Platform.
