Econsultancy today announced the shortlist for its annual Innovation Awards, dedicated to recognising the smartest new ideas and achievements across digital marketing and e-commerce.

Over 400 entries were received across 22 categories, including a number of new award categories such as Innovation in Rich Media and Video, Innovation in Mobile Marketing and Innovation in Online PR to recognise increasingly influential elements of digital strategy.

In the first stage of judging, Ashley Friedlein, CEO of Econsultancy, and his team reviewed all entries and created a shortlist per category. Chris Lake, Editor in Chief of Econsultancy, said: “There have been some really fantastic things going on in digital in the past year or so, and we believe that the shortlist represents real innovation in our industry.”

In the second and final stage of judging, entries from the shortlist will be assessed by a prestigious panel of judges from companies known for innovation, including Sara Linfoot (The Guardian), Adrian Blair (Google) and Noam Buchalter (Unilever) and joined by industry experts Avinash Kaushik and Dr. Dave Chaffey.
