New iPhone App Nosey Parker http://noseyparkerapp.com/ takes the hassle out of parking in an unfamiliar town or city or helps you find a cheaper car park in your home town. Developed for business travellers, tourists, shoppers, parents or anyone who doesn’t want to pay the earth for a parking space, Nosey Parker finds the nearest car park to your current position or you can go for the cheapest or safest.

Nosey Parker is the only app that provides UK specific car park locations and prices, with a database containing information about 13,400 UK car parks that between them offer over 1.8 million spaces. Manchester based developers Stardotstar http://www.stardotstar.com say they wanted to create an app that would address a common problem, director Gareth Langley explained, “Anyone who drives knows that parking can be really frustrating, if you’re new to a city you can waste time driving round for ages until you finally find a car park, only to discover you’ve parked in the most expensive one in town. The Nosey Parker database also contains information on car parks with parent and toddler spaces, disabled spaces and even car parks that accept credit cards, great if you don’t have a handful of coins on you.”

Other situations where Nosey Parker will come in handy include:

· A business traveller who has driven to an unfamiliar city for a meeting and wants to find the nearest car park to his current location or one that accepts credit cards.

· A tourist who wants to find the nearest car park to the hotel they’re staying in.

· A weekend shopper who wants a cheap but convenient car park.

· A parent with young children or elderly couple who want to find a safe car park; some car parks are issued with safety certificates based on criteria including ease of access, lighting, emergency help buttons and surveillance and where available, this information is included in the app data.

· An office worker uses Nosey Parker to see if there is a close but cheaper car park than their usual one, saving money that could add up to hundreds every year.

Nosey Parker is available from the App Store now; it will cost £1.79 but has an introductory launch price of 59p until 28th February. Version 1.1 will be released within the next few weeks and will include the addition of search and the option to filter results by a number of different criteria.
