LONDON - 17th November 2004 - AGENCY.COM, the full service interactive agency, has appointed Internet industry veteran, Andy Hobsbawm, to the role of European Chairman.
Andy will continue to guide the firm both locally and on a global basis, with his unique insight and vision into the continual evolution of the interactive space.
As part of AGENCY.COM's global executive team, Andy will oversee the firm's international marketing strategy and advocacy of AGENCY.COM's new Full Service proposition to Fortune 500 clients.
Andy will continue to work from the company's London office and will maintain his role as expert counsel to some of the firm's most significant clients. He will also help develop new business and merger and acquisition opportunities for the company in Europe.
Andy hands over the management of London's Interactive Marketing Group, which includes the recently re-integrated itraffic brand, to the London office Managing Director, David Eastman.
David Eastman, along with Amsterdam Managing Director Vincent van de Ven, will report directly to AGENCY.COM President and CEO, Don Scales.

In 1995 Hobsbawm co-founded Online Magic, a pioneering new media agency that merged with AGENCY.COM in 1997. During his career with AGENCY.COM, Andy has been a weekly columnist on the new economy for the Financial Times, been named one of the Top 50 Internet Professionals in the UK by Internet Business Magazine and UK 'New Media Entrepreneur of the Year' by Campaign Magazine.
In 2003, to mark the anniversary of the birth of the commercial web browser, Andy published a report: '10 Years On - the state of the internet a decade after Mosaic'. Full of thought-provoking observations and opinions, in the form of self-contained essays interlinked by common issues and themes, '10 Years On' explored the global impact of the Internet and online technology over the past decade.
Most recently, Andy was nominated by online marketing and interactive industry professionals as one of 100 individuals to have most influenced the development and growth of e-commerce and the Internet in the UK, over the last ten years.
