More than two thirds of e-commerce companies (68 per cent) are uncertain if they are effectively using data collected from their websites to more successfully recruit customers and maintain loyalty, according to the latest research by SLI Systems*.

Despite using tools and tactics including advanced on-site search (favoured by 88 per cent), web analytics (favoured by 87 per cent) and email marketing (favoured by 81 per cent), almost half of the businesses surveyed (45 per cent) are missing the opportunity to further improve the user experience – as they don’t integrate all of the elements.

In order to help companies operating online improve on-site search and understand how to integrate the data into other elements of its marketing, SLI Systems has developed a whitepaper entitled On-site search best practice: revolutionising the way people buy online.
