The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) is launching (23 July 2010) its annual flagship Digital Publishing Summit with the theme “Building World Class Digital Media Businesses”, to be held at Westminster Bridge Park Plaza on 15 October 2010.

The one-day AOP Summit will be split into sessions with keynote speakers and panel discussions, looking at current market trends, issues; and opportunities impacting on, and transforming, the industry. Four key areas of insight will be explored:

· producing world class editorial content

The morning will feature a strong line-up of business leaders and innovators in their own right – including Evelyn Webster, CEO of IPC Media; Stephen Miron, CEO of Global Radio; Matt Brittin, Managing Director of Google UK and Tim Brooks, Managing Director of Guardian News and Media – examining the criteria needed to lead the world in innovation and whether the UK can claim to have the best digital media businesses.

Kate Silverton, News & Current Affairs Journalist, will chair the proceedings, with further speakers confirmed: Tim Weller, Group Chief Executive of Incisive Media; David Rowan, Editor of Wired UK; Matt Kelly, Director of Digital Content, Trinity Mirror; Claire Enders, CEO and Owner, Enders Analysis; Alisa Bowen, Managing Director, Publishing, Thomson Reuters; John Butler, Head of Communications & Media, dunnhumby and Mike Butcher, Editor, TechCrunch Europe.

We are expecting the usual strong turnout, with lively debates, healthy discussion and business-forming networking taking place throughout the day. Delegates will have the chance to hear from some of the top innovators in the digital industry, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the publishing industry to our annual event.”
