SapientNitro has been named number one agency in the United Kingdom for the fourth consecutive year in the annual Top 100 list by New Media Age, the UK's only weekly magazine covering the business of interactive media.

The ranking recognises SapientNitro’s impressive growth in a year that saw the agency sector grow by 10.4%. The move to go to market as a single brand in 2010 successfully captured the demand for integrated marketing capabilities across sectors resulting in ongoing campaigns for clients including Coca-Cola, Mars, News International, Nokia, Unilever, Vodafone and Volvo.

“SapientNitro has gone from strength to strength since the acquisition of Nitro Group in 2009 and this is reflected in our retention of the number one agency spot in the New Media Age rankings. This accolade and our continual growth underscores SapientNitro’s ability to deliver unique brand-led and digital-centric campaigns for clients,” said Nigel Vaz, managing director, SapientNitro. “We are delighted to receive this award from a trusted publication like New Media Age.”

Vaz said, “This has been a tough year for agencies with margins being squeezed across the board and clients expecting more bang for their buck through measurable results. Our impressive creative and planning capabilities have helped us to meet growing demand and key hires including Malcolm Poynton and Kim Douglas have helped us successfully tackle client briefs. In the year ahead we hope to continue driving innovation and will be integrating growth areas such as mobile and online video into our core proposition.”
